More than 57 million American has filed for unemployment claims over the past 22 weeks. Last week, a rise of 1.1 million from prior week of 971,000, has filed for unemployment claims. Many are now relying on food stamps to make ends meet. Many analysts expect the situation to get worst as incidence of coronavirus spikes in the country.

The worst affected industries are tourism related such as travel agencies, airlines and hospitality services such as hotels. With the $600 federal supplement, many are barely surviving. On the bright side, pure online technology based companies are seeking to hire with many job opportunities coming from online retailers such as Amazon.

TikTok is also planning to hire 10,000 in USA but is treading on thin water for it's reputed possibility of being banned in USA by President Donald Trump. Speaking of TikTok, the highly popular mobile app that took many social media videos viral and made multiple millionaires in a matter of months, it is now being sought after by Microsoft, Oracle and reportedly by Twitter too as new owner of the mobile app.

TikTok's highest number of subscriber is currently Charlie D'Amelio with 76 million followers, followed by Addison Rae with 52 million followers. TikTok app is being used by billions of users daily with it's China counterpart DouYin app from ByteDance.
